OUR FUTURE

Despite our past experiences, Yekoochet’en have succeeded in maintaining our dignity and hope for the future. With treaty negotiations well under way, we hope to secure a permanent land base for our people, preserving our way of life and adding new opportunities for our community through education, employment and business ventures.

We are creating working partnerships with local industries for further development of our lands and resources. With this in mind we implement training programs, seminars and workshops for our members in the areas of life skills, business development, business planning, administration, as well as fisheries, mining and forestry.
