HEALTH CENTRE

Yekooche’s Health Centre is located inside a beautiful and spacious building in the heart of the community. This building is comprised of a lovely reception area, kitchen, examination rooms, counselling rooms and offices for the various members of staff who work there.

Through our support from Carrier-Sekani Family Services (CSFS) we are able to offer the community a variety of health services including dental care and prenatal care. As well, we are lucky to have a Community Health Nurse who comes in on a regular basis to provide necessary medical care when doctors are not available.

Currently we have rotating doctors and nurses provided by CSFS who bring various family doctor services to our community members on an as needed basis.  We hope to have more permanent staffing soon.

Due to the connections the Health Centre has with outside service providers, and through the dedication of our onsite staff, Yekooche community members have access to a wide variety of health and wellness services that help them to live healthy lives. In the future, Health Centre staff would love to be able to host more community central workshops and information sessions that focus on the support they feel the community needs.
